AC Milan after two of the most wanted players this summer
The Italian giants have the funds to compete in the transfer market now, and want to get the best reinforcements
They may be the latest Serie A winners, breaking a spell of 11 years without one, but AC Milan aren't resting on their laurels. Their recent takeover by American investment firm RedBird means they now have me means to step up the chase and stop running the biggest clubs in the continent, and that's what they intend to do.
With those intention it's that they're looking to close down two signings to improve their team for the coming campaign. The first would be Lille's Renato Sanches. Sanches, who arrived at Lille from Bayern Munich in 2019, has reestablished himself as a fantastic holding midfielder, and would arrive at the San Siro to pluck the hole left by Franck Kessie, who's leaving for Barcelona. Sanches played 32 matches last season for Lille, scoring two goals and providing 5 assists.
However, he wouldn't be the sole Lille player joining AC Milan. The Rossoneri are also in the chase for Sven Botman. The 22 year old Dutch centreback has been in the sights of many top clubs this summer, though he has been mostly associated with Milan and Newcastle United.
Although negotiations aren't as advanced as with the Portuguese midifielder, Botman recently spoke with the press and confirmed that they're working on a deal, so there could be news at any minute.
