"The market is OPEN": Inter LEGEND hints at a MOVE for Alexis Sanchez
The Chilean isn't a priority at Inter, and the Italian club want to shift him away
The future of Alexis Sánchez is still up in the air. The Chilean star is far from comfortable at Inter Milan, but neither him nor the club seem very eager to make a move. The potential arrival of Paulo Dybala to the Nerazzurri squad was supposed to spur the club into action, but now the Argentine is a Giallorossi, and Alexis is still waiting.
Far from a top option in Simone Inzaghi's plans, Alexis Sánchez's 7 million euros yearly wages are almost prohibitive for anything but the very top clubs in Europe, and no offers seem to be coming. With Italian media claiming the Chilean refused Inter's offer of a 4 million euros settlement to release him, the situation isn't moving.
While the Chilean continues to train with Inter, the truth is he wasn't part of the pre season match against Monaco, which further fueled the rumours of a move, but the phones are still silent.
In this context, one of the legends of the club spoke on the matter. Javier Zanetti is undoubtedly "Mr Inter", having spent almost 20 years as a player for the Nerazzurri. "Alexis has started the preseason with the team and is training with the entire squad. The transfer market is open, however today he is still an Inter player", explained the Argentine.
The door thus stays open for any potential move, although so far the offers that have come Alexis Sanchez's way weren't very tempting for the player, with Al-Nassr from the Saudi Arabia league making an approach, which was rejected by the Chilean, who's looking to remain in Europe for the time coming.
