"We respect every club": Arsenal star FURIOUS after over-celebration claims
The Gunners have been accused of going a bit overboard after matches, but one of their biggest names isn't having any of it
Arsenal's meteoric start to the season was undoubtedly going to rub some the wrong way, and now the main complaint with the league leaders is the way they celebrate after each match win, with critics pointing out excessive celebration despite the Gunners failing to have beaten (or even faced) any top six opposition. Never one to bite his tongue, former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka had something to say about it.

The Swiss international is in top form for the Gunners, playing as a mixed midfielder and offering a dynamic option for Mikel Arteta all across the pitch. After having a severe fallout with other managers and even his own fans in prior seasons, it's been a bit of a renaissance for Xhaka, who's arguably playing his best football ever in an Arsenal shirt.
With this in mind, it was clear that he wasn't going to enjoy the remarks following the Gunners' celebrations. "'Listen, the people maybe they forget sometimes. I have been in Switzerland, I have been in Germany, I know the leagues and the Premier League is totally different. You can play against the last [team in the table] and you will struggle for 90 minutes. You don't have a team here that gives up", explained Xhaka, commenting on the difficulty of each match in the English top tier.
The Swiss international was quick to point out those who were dismissing Arsenal's enjoyment after games are also disrespecting their rivals and the other teams in the league:'It doesn't matter if they are 3-0 up or 3-0 down, they go for 90 minutes. You have respect for every club and the people if they say that we can't celebrate because it was Fulham, they don't respect the Fulham team. You saw them... they won again [against Brighton]. They have lost only against us in five games. Give them some credit, give them some respect - not only Fulham, but every team that comes here or we go away to, because you will struggle against every team if you are not 100 per cent ready for them".

Granit Xhaka also reminded everyone that critics will come after you regardless of what you do: "If you don't celebrate, they say to us: 'Why don't you celebrate?' If we celebrate, they say: 'Why do you celebrate?' So sometimes you can't make everyone happy. But this is our job, this is what we want to do. We celebrate if we win, it doesn't matter against who".
