"VAR made it look WORSE": Arsenal captain FUMING with goal ruled out
Arsenal lost a key clash despite taking an early lead with a goal that was ruled out and Martin Odegaard isn't happy about it
Manchester United secured their biggest result of the season last week, putting three goals past the then-undefeated leaders of the Premier League Arsenal in a another instance of this classic clash of modern English football. However, it was actually the Gunners who took the lead early on through a Gabriel Martinelli goal that was eventually ruled out due to a foul early in the play by Martin Odegaard. The Norwegian, now the Arsenal captain, wasn't happy about it.

Despite looking like the better side for most of the match, it's another bitter pill to swallow for Arsenal at Old Trafford, a stadium where they've only managed to win twice in the last 16 years.
Odegaard, however, thinks it should have been Arsenal who took the initial lead, unhappy with how their would-be opener was ruled out. "In my opinion it is never a foul. A soft challenge and for VAR to come in it has to be clear and obvious", complained the Arsenal captain, who clearly thinks his tackle on Christian Eriksen was a legit one. Rubbing salt on the wound, the Dane would actually go on to be one of the most important players for Manchester United later in the match.
"Very, very soft. You can make it look worse on camera. Never a foul, the referee said play on", insisted Martin Odegard when interview after the match, a view that was echoed by many of the Arsenal fans at the stadium, who reportedly felt "cheated" out of what could have been the Gunners 6th straight win in six matches.

However, it's not all bad news for Arsenal, as the side led by Mikel Arteta remain on top of the league with 15 points, one clear of Manchester City who drew 1-1 with Aston Villa, assuring the Gunners would not lost the 1st spot no matter their result at Old Trafford.
