Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of Paris Saint Germain, has come out blasting against FC Barcelona's deals this summer. The Catalan giants, who were in deep economic trouble, found a way to still make a number of key signings by triggering economic deals, but the boss of the Parisian outfit isn't very happy about it.

Barcelona has come under suspicion, as club president Joan Laporta has employed a series of financial levers to keep his team among Europe's best, despite the heavy debts that they owe. The club sold a part of their television rights as well as digital content and merchandising to remain afloat. Thus, the club was able to spend a staggering 153 million euros on transfer fees, while also adding an number of players on a free, taking their net spend to a negative 113 million.
Al-Khelaifi has come out to condemn these moves, which he feels are not fair to the rest of the footballing world. "Is this fair? No, it's not fair... Is it legal? I'm not sure", he told American political journalism newspaper Politico. "If they allow them, others will do the same. UEFA of course have their own [financial] regulations. For sure they're going to look at everything".
This follows his comments during a meeting with other top European clubs, where Al-Khelaifi took another shot at Barcelona's dealings: "The new financial sustainability rules are a positive development, but we need to be careful. Dangerous levels of debt and magical equity deals are not a sustainable path".
Barcelona, with Joan Laporta at the helm, refused to comment on these statements
Barcelona is reported to have raised more than 800 million euros across the four deals they made, parting in exchange with 25% of their television rights and 49,5% of their ownership of Barça Studios, the company that produces audiovisual contents relating to the club.
