The man who SAVED Barça: "Bartomeu left us an AWFUL scenario"
The businessman behind the deals that saved Barcelona spoke about what the club found after Bartomeu left, and the way back
Barcelona are in critical hours. They've been refused permission by LaLiga to register the players they've signed this window, which could prove a disaster for the Blaugrana club. Apart from player sales, they're last remaining hope is setting off the last of the four agreed deals to raise funds and create wage cap space, and they've done just that.
Barcelona have sold another 24.5 percent of Barça Studios to Orpheus Media for 100 million euros. However, this is no random sale, but one done to a key ally. Orpheus Media is owned by Jaume Roures, a close friend to club president Joan Laporta and LaLiga president Javier Tebas, and a die hard Barça fan. In this context, Roures has spoken about what the deal means to him and to the club.

"We signed at 8 in the morning. Laporta was at the signing, fresh as a cucumber", he explained. "If I hadn't done the deal, someone else would have done it. The club is strong and is a magnet. This is the strength of the club and the ease that they have to solve delicate situations".
He was also very critical of the Josep Bartomeu administration, which many blame for putting the club in the situation it is. "We come from a sh*tty scenario that our friends Bartomeu and company have left us. We come from something that people can't even imagine", he added.

Regarding the situation with the players that could not be registered, Jaume Roures was very clear: "I don't know what Barça was missing to register all the players, what I do know is that with this investment of 100 million it's enough to see the team we want to see tomorrow. Will Lewandowski, Raphinha and Dembélé be able to play? Man, I don't interrupt my vacation if not to watch the best play..."
