Aubamyang or Depay: One of them will LEAVE Barça
The Blaugranas need to get rid of one of their forwards, so key hours are coming
The news aren't good at Barcelona. Despite the Blaugranas biggest efforts, they still can't register their latest signings. With now rumuors that they could lose players like Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie if they don't manage to get under LaLiga rules before the start of the league, club president Joan Laporta and the rest of the board are looking for solutions.
As reports have suggested, the biggest tools they have right now to fix their issues is getting rid of players, and two who are on the chopping block are Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Memphis Depay. Both players have potential deals to take them away from the Camp Nou, and even though reports suggest only one of them would be allowed to leave, key hours are coming.
In the case of Aubameyang, it's Chelsea FC who're after their services. Head coach Thomas Tuchel has communicated owner Todd Boehly that he sees Aubameyang as the perfect signing after Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku left the Blues for RB Leipzig and Inter Milan respectively, and is very interested in signing him. Barcelona are expecting a bid for the Gabon international, who only arrived at the Camp Nou six months ago, following a quarrel with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
On the other hand, the deal for Memphis Depay would be different. The Dutchman is being chasing by Juventus, but the Bianconeri wouldn't be paying a fee to acquire his services. Instead, Depay is negotiating the termination of his contract with Barcelona, in an effort by the Blaugrana club to clear wage space. Juventus is currently offering him a two-year deal.
It will be key hours for Barcelona, who have their market hanging by a thread, as they could end up with nothing despite their excellent work in signing the necessary players to build a competitive team for Xavi.
