According to UK newspaper The Times, UEFA is looking into FC Barcelona and nine other teams for violating the Financial Fair Play rules for the 2020-2021 season. These teams include Juventus, PSG, Inter, and Roma. According to the report, the top European organisation is already formulating a variety of sanctions that it would soon disclose.

UEFA is keeping a tight eye on every team mentioned, although they still have time to produce and present  regularised and updated accounts. Sources close to Barça, however, confirm that the club is unaware of the open action procedure against them.

Other teams that would be sanctioned include Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Olympique de Marseille. However, as French newspaper L'Équipe noted recently, these teams would only be subject to an economic fine; the Italian clubs and Barça might face much harsher penalties. Other, unnamed teams would only be under investigation and would not be subject to sanctions.
