Xavi Hernández will try to make Barcelona recover the glory
Barcelona fans hope to finally get a good year after a bunch of failures and a season to forget, everything at the same time Real Madrid won Champions Leagues and Spanish competitions.
In order to do this, the objectives are clear: Win LaLiga, Copa del Rey, and, at least, fight and compete for the Champions League, which means to reach at minimum the semi-finals.
Manager and former club legend Xavi Hernández asked for signings to complete the team. President Joan Laporta made his wish a reality, as Barca made seven top signings in the winter transfer market.
Having spent a total of 153M Euros, the Catalonians bought: Raphinha, Lewandowski, Koundé, Marcos Alonso, Christensen, Frank Kessié, and Hector Bellerín.

All those players, among current stars such as Ferrán Torres, Frankie De Jong, Pedri, and Ousmane Dembelé give Xavi a problem, as he has to select who of those top players play and who starts on the bench, but at the same time, give fans hope of fighting for important things.
The value of the whole team is 781M, only five million less than Los Blancos. This means that, in theory, the competition for LaLiga will be tough between these two, as Atlético Madrid runs far behind with a value of 650M.
Meanwhile, in Europe, they need to recover the force and dominance Guardiola's team of the 2010s used to have. The players are enough in individual quality to reach the top stages, but Bayern, ManCity, Real, and Liverpool also got their things, so the new Xavi`s Barcelona will have to demonstrate if they are ready to compete or wait another year.
