Bayer Leverkusen seals deal for one of Europe's top wonderkids
The Bundesliga has shown it's one of the best leagues for developing young players and another one joins the fun
As the cases of Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho and Dominik Szoboszlai have shown over the last couple of years, the Bundesliga is the best league for the top talents in the continent to grow and develop, and German clubs are smart went it comes to signing high potential players, developing them and sell them at massive profits.
It's now looking like we could soon see the latest in what's now a long line of Bundesliga prospects as Bayer Leverkusen has announced the signing of one of the best young players in Europe, Adam Hložek.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the young star of Czech side Sparta Praha will move to the Bundesliga club for 13 million euros plus add-ons, while keeping a 30% of any future transfer fee, in what is bound to prove a great deal for the Prague club.
Hložek, who had supposedly been in the sights of Sevilla and West Ham, will seal a great move for his career. The 19-year-old forward, plays mostly as a second striker but can also play leading the front line or on the left, finished the season with 12 goals and 15 assists in 47 games for Sparta Prague.
Now, one of Europe's top prospects will doubtlessly have plenty of room to grow in one of Europe's most dynamic leagues.
