LEWANDOWSKI'S HEIR: Bayern preparing bid for their NEXT striker
Bayern are aware that the Polish striker is set to leave one way or the other, and are looking at potential replacements
Robert Lewandowski is departing Bayern Munich. Regardless of whether it is the good way or the bad way, it would be very strange for player and club to sort out their diffences and play another season together. The Polish striker has been clear on his desires, and even the squad is beginning to tire of his antics. That means Bayern needs to find a replacement, and they may already have him on their sights: Lille's Jonathan David.

As the Bundesliga side expect for improved terms from FC Barcelona as soon as the Frenkie de Jong deal goes through, they have already started eyeing potential replacements for the Polish striker. According to German newspaper Sport Bild, the 22 year old striker is the Bavarian giants main option to replace Lewandowski when he departs.
While there are other names, such as Stuttgart's Saša Kalajdži and Chelsea's Timo Werner, it is the Canadian who's leading the list. While there are no reliable numbers on what the signing could cost Bayern, the current valuation of David is around 45 million euros, close to what the German club expect for Lewandowski.

Jonathan David, who last season scored 19 goals across all competitions in 48 matches for LOSC Lille, is know for his clinical nature in front of goal and his pace and explosiveness. He was also part of the team that will take the Canadian National Team to the World Cup for the first time since 1986, together with Bayern's Alphonso Davies.
