United and Real Madrid were CRAZY for him but he's going to the Bundesliga
The latest top prospect in RB Salzburg could be moving to a different club
Nowadays, it's very rare for a top prospect to give it much thought when a big club comes looking for them. Every young player dreams of wearing the shirt of the legendary clubs of European football, like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Manchester United. But every once and again, one of them choses to continue their development instead of jumping ship as soon as they can, and this seems to be case with Benjamin Šeško.
The 19-year-old Slovenian forward has been on the target of many top clubs lately, with Real Madrid and Manchester United the closest. Reports emerged last week that it was the Red Devils leading the race for the RB Salzburg wonderkid, having submitted an offer around the 50 million euros that the Austrian club wanted to part with Šeško; now, however, things have changed.
As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, the club has insisted that they would only consider parting with their young star in at the end of this coming season, and now it's looking like they've found someone who can accomodate to those request: RB Leipzig.
According to the journalist, the player, who finished last season with ten goals and seven assists in just over 1500 minutes, is happy to remain one further year at Austria and continue his development while waiting for the move.
With the link between both clubs of the Red Bull footballing empire, Benjamin Šeško won't be the first and certainly won't be the last player to make the switch between Salzburg and Leipzig, and now the deal is close to be completed for the move to go through in 2023.
