Fabregas recommended them this STAR and they DIDN'T listen
The former Spanish international spoke with a former team so they sign a young star, but they didn't pay attention
Fresh from starting a new stage in his career at Serie B side Como, we can't predict what Cesc Fabregas will do when he finally retires from life as a professional footballer, but one thing's for sure, he's got a good eye to become a top scout.
The Spaniard, who was himself scouted at a very early age from one of the best young talent scouts there ever was, Arsène Wenger, spoke recently about a recommendation he made to one of his former clubs about one of the stars of the future, while he was at AS Monaco.
Fabregas revealed some unexpected details about his time with the Monegasque club during an interview with Spanish radio network Cadena Cope. The 35-year-old midfielder has admitted to recommending FC Barcelona try to sign Aurélien Tchouaméni, who eventually moved to Real Madrid.
"I know Tchouaméni very well. I spoke with people from Barça to sign him. I gave my opinion to one of my former teams and in the end he joined their rival club", explained Fabregas, who shared a dressing room more than two years with the young French prospect. "You have to take advantage of market opportunities," he commented.
As per his own situation, starting over from a very different club from the ones he's usually played for, Cesc Fabregas explained his decision. "I still want to play. I don't want to end my career like this, it was a very bad year to end like this", he commented referring to his last year at Monaco, where he almost didn't play due to injuries. "I want to play, have a good time, enjoy myself, end my career with good feelings" he pointed out.
