The Italian manager can't believe the stretch of games his team will be forced to play
The World Cup in Qatar will be different for several reasons. It will be the first World Cup held in the Western Asia, the second ever held in that continent and the last to be played under the 32 teams format. However, the most important thing about it is that it will be played in November and December due to weather conditions in host country Qatar, and that means that the European football season has to be compressed to meet every requirement. This, undoubtedly, brings some issues and Tottenham manager Antonio Conte will gladly talk to you about it.

The Italian manager has criticised his team's "crazy" calendar of games and encouraged them to petition Premier League officials for a more accommodating one going forward, as their Champions League opener against Marseille kicks off a stretch of three games in six days.
"Honestly to see this schedule is incredible, it's crazy", Conte fired at his press conference, "We played three games in six days, now we are playing after four days but we are starting again to play Marseille, City, Sporting in six days. I think this is the first time in my career to see a schedule like this".
You would argue that Conte's complaints are pointless, as it's hardly a situation unique to his side, but rather being suffered by every manager and every team in Europe, but the former Juventus boss thinks Tottenham has been specially affected.
"Compared to the other teams Tottenham have been penalised a lot. We have been unlucky", suggested Conte, "I've spoken to the club that we need to pay great attention to speak to the Premier League. One day more or less can completely change your life".

When compared to Tottenham, two of the other English teams in the Champions League, Manchester City and Chelsea, will get a day more of rest, while Liverpool has a similar schedule, as they're they play away at Napoli before hosting Wolves and Ajax. Not that it serves as any kind of consolation to Antonio Conte.
