Christian Eriksen on a Champions League return: I know how much fun it is
After a very successful half a season in the Premier League, Christian Eriksen is keen to see where his next step takes him
Christian Eriksen conjured the world's worst fears during the Euro 2020 as he collapsed on the ground after suffering cardiac arrest during a match on 12 June that required cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation to sustain his life.
Now, after a very successful half a season with Premier League side Brentford, the 30 year old attacking midfielder feels ready to go back to the top stages in European football.

In an interview with European streaming site Viaplay, he pointed out his desire to go back to playing in Europe's top competition: "I would love to play Champions League football again. I know how much fun it is, but it isn't essential for me".
"I have different offers and options, which we are considering, and then we make a decision", he then added. With Eriksen's contract at Brentford set to expire after the last game of the Premier League season, it will be interesting to see where he takes his next step.
However, he's aware that he must be careful with his choice of club: "I do not think that there are some football players who can just pick and choose between clubs, because there are many criteria that come into play. There are also many clubs that need to see one's path before that happens".
Eriksen reached the 2019 Champions League Final with Tottenham
Eriksen signed with Brentford FC on late January 2022. He played a total of nine matches, scoring a single goal and proving a solid performer for the West London side.
