Chelsea's LIGHTNING QUICK deal for one of Juve's top men
The Blues are working overtime at the closing of the market to get the talent they need
Chelsea's late window shopping spree continues. Blues boss Thomas Tuchel warned the higher ups at Stamford Bridge that he was going to need reinforcements and the club is working to give him what he needs. After the deal for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang today, now Chelsea are closing down another move, and the name of their latest signing is Denis Zakaria.
Chelsea's latest target, Denis Zakaria
The 25 year old Swiss international was part of Juventus' squad after joining the Bianconeri just eight months ago in January 2022 from Borussia Monchengladbach. Able to play as a central midfielder as well as a holding mid and a centreback, Zakaria is known for his passing abilities, skill on the ball and reading of the game, although he's a far less physical defender than Chelsea's previous target, Edson Alvarez.
Zakaria will sign a deal to spend the season on loan at Chelsea as soon as he complets his medical in Turin, and the club will have a £30 million option to make the move permanent. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, it will be a five year deal if Chelsea chose to keep Zakaria, and the Blues will cover his wages for the coming season.
Zakaria hasn't been a top man for Allegri at Juve
Having failed to make a starting spot his under Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri the former Young Boys man made. only 15 appearances for the Bianconari. Now Denis Zakaria will surely hope to be the solution to Thomas Tuchel's midfield problems, and secure a starting spot, something he hasn't had since he left Borussia Monchengladbach, where appeared 148 games across five seasons.
