Coutinho leaves Barcelona at a massive loss for the Catalan giants
Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho's move away from the Camp Nou is all but confirmed, as his loan deal to Aston Villa becomes permanent.
It's looking like Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho could be leaving Barcelona definitively in the coming hours. As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, an official statement should be arriving soon, confirming Coutinho's permanent move to Aston Villa, after joining the English side on a loan at the beginning of the season.
It is rumoured the transfer fee will be at around €20 million. The Brazilian featured in 16 games for Aston Villa, scoring four goals in the process, and is reportedly very comfortable with life back in England.
It's worth pointing out that Coutinho joined Barcelona in 2018 at a price of 135 million euros as per Transfermarkt, making his move away from the Catalan side a net €115 million loss for them.
Coutinho played 106 games for Barcelona, scoring 26 goals. He was also on loan at Bayern Munich in 2019/20, where he played 38 matches and scored 11 goals.
