The Portuguese star played only 45 minutes, and in the first half he looked disgusted at being a substitute. Once he entered, his influence on the field was minimal and the controversy resurfaced again. However, the information that comes out of different English media is that the whole club is fed up with Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to UK newspaper The Sun, Cristiano Ronaldo's teammates, are beginning to be annoyed by the Portuguese's attitude. They are not liking the way he conducted himself at all and they believe that he is even harming them as a team. Ronaldo has already made some people angry by not showing up for the preseason or making the Asian tour, only to suddenly appear and play as a starter against Rayo Vallecano.
"Many are fed up with how he is doing things", a Manchester United source told the English newspaper. "He's got his allies, but he's really starting to bother me," they added.
"I have to point out that there were a lot of players who left, but the focus was only on Cristiano, and that shouldn't be the case. That's what I said was not right," Ten Hag said after losing to Brighton.
People are getting fed up with Cristiano Ronaldo's situation
The locker room would have already told the board to let the Portuguese out to ease the situation. However, the truth is that the former Real Madrid man didn't receive any offers and was rejected by several top clubs. Cristiano Ronaldo's situation is increasingly tense and at Manchester United the end is near.
