Madness in the Coppa Italia: Cuadrado kicked Sánchez at arms' height
It has been a frustrating season for the Bianconeri and yesterday's loss at the Coppa Italia piled on it, leading to desperate moves by the Juventus player
A year without titles is a year of deep crisis for Juventus. The board hired Massimiliano Allegri to win again, but the Bianconeri are far from the top of the Serie A and now they lost the Italian Cup against Inter, in a spectacular final. All that cocktail ended with the Juventus players nervous in the match against Inter and the example was Juan Guillermo Cuadrado.
With ten minutes left in the game, Cuadrado kicked Alexis Sánchez in the left arm. The Chilean went to dispute the ball and the Colombian made a full tackle and then protested, saying he did not touch him.
Cuadrado was reprimanded and could easily have been sent off, while Alexis had to be treated because he was in huge pain. Signs of a frustrated player after a frustrating season.
