According to recent reports, the former Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund would be open to taking over from Gareth Southgate as the England manager if the position becomes available.

Only 16 months after winning the Champions League, the German was fired by Chelsea in September. According to rumours at the time of his departure, he was eager to stay in England. Given the pressure placed on Southgate after England's dismal UEFA Nations League campaign, the future of the Euro 2020 finalist remains uncertain.
Now, UK newspaper The Telegraph reports that Tuchel would be open to taking over from Southgate should the chance present itself. The German is now getting ready to leave England behind and return to Germany before the year is up due to his problematic visa situation. After being fired by Chelsea in September, the 49-year-old is awaiting clarification on how long he is permitted to stay in the UK.
The English National Team is certainly no stranger to foreign managers, with Swedish coach Sven Goran Eriksson and Milan legend Fabio Capello taking over the Three Lions at different times.

For now, Thomas Tuchel reportedly received a number of approaches from clubs in Spain and England, but no negotiations are ongoing. If he receives a new visa, he might resume his employment in England. The German was in charge of Chelsea nearly 600 days, watching over 99 games, with a win percentage of 62.6% and winning the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
