However, information coming from Norway has been a shock to everyone, claming the deal would not be 100% done. It was the words of Stale Solbakken, Norway manager, who has cast doubt on the future.
Asked about Haaland, Solbakken remarked: "I don't think you should expect me to talk about Manchester City or any other club at a Norwegian national team conference. City? They haven't introduced him yet, we'll see what happens".

Now, the wording in the message from Manchester City, which said there was a "principle of agreement" with Borussia Dortmund that was subject to the club finalizing the terms with the player sound ominous.
