SURPRISING: PSG allegedly after one of Italy's newest stars
There have been meetings between representatives from the player and the club, and the deal is reported to be a real possibility
Gianluca Scamacca is a name that has been floating around in the market recently. Far from the highlights of Pogba's or Lewandowski's move or the dizzing fees of Tchouaméni or Darwin Nuñez, it has become clear the young Italian striker is on the list of several top clubs.
Now, however, a new contender has come out, and this one can pay the big numbers. According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, there has been a meeting between representatives of Scamacca and people from PSG.
In concrete, it's been Scamacca's agent Alessandro Lucci and the newly appointed Sportind Director for the Parisian club, Luis Campos, that have met to discuss the possibility of the 23 year old moving away from Sassuolo.
As reported by Di Marzio, there's still some ground separating the parts, as the Italian club is reportedly asking for around 50 million euros, while PSG offer 35 million plus addons. However, according to the journalist there is a big chance that negotiations will progress, as all parties, player, selling club and buying club, are interested in the possibility.
Gianluca Scamacca has been one of the breakthrough stars of the last couple of seasons in Serie A, with the Sassuolo man scoring 16 goals in 38 matches for the Neroverdi, which has been enough to earn him his first seven caps with the Italian National Team.
