James Rodriguez is the new Greek god: "Everything he did brings hope"
The Colombian is finding his best self at Olympiakos and the press laud him
James Rodriguez is finding his best football once again. Much like Alexis Sánchez in France, the Colombian is getting back to his best in his new team. His performances haven't been widely reported since he arrived at Olympiakos. However, the Colombian has been increasing his playing time and has gained the respect of both his coach and the crowd.
The former Real Madrid man has scored his first goal for the Greek side, and even if it wasn't enough for a win (the match would end in a 2-1 defeat against PAOK), it has proven sufficient to convince the Greek press that he will be the leader of the team this season.
"For James Rodríguez, the derby with PAOK will remain as the first big game with the red and white squad, and the second consecutive game that makes his presence felt", published sports site to10.gr, adding that "Everything that James Rodríguez did on the pitch at Karaiskakis brings hope for the game day of Olympiacos".
The Colombian is recovering fitness after missing a few games with injury, and is showing his best version once again. It will undoubtedly be a good thing for James Rodriguez to show all which he can do on the pitch to become one of Michel's side stalwarts, and leave behind the bad memories at Al-Rayyan.
