Juventus in SWOOPING DEAL to take one of Inter's targets
The Old Lady of Italy are taking over one of their old rival's transfer targets with a superior offer
It's not rare circumstance that two or more clubs are chasing one given player at any time. Despite the multitude of players that switch clubs every window, only a small number are truly world class, so clubs have limited options, and this looks to be the case with Torino's Bremer.
The 25 year old centreback is being chased by Juventus and Inter currently, as they both are looking for replacements and reinforcements in that position; the Bianconeri for the loss of Matthjis de Ligt and the Nerazzurri for the likely departure of Milan Skriniar.
So far, it's looking like La Vecchia Signora is coming out on top. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Juve's offer is the superior one, with the most succesful club in Italy bidding 40 million euros plus another 7 million in addons. Inter, on the other hand, are offering 30 million euros and the signing of 19 year old midfielder Cesare Casadei, currently valued at 1 million euros as per Transfermarkt.
As per Romano, this seals the deal as far as Torino goes, and Juve is now in negotiation with Bremer, who they're offering five year deal with wages higher than 5 million euros a year. Mood is optimistic around the club and the player's camp, and the deal is expected to go through soon.
Bremer is known as more of traditional centreback, with his strenghts coming in the aerial game and physical part of defending, and is thought of to be more of a "clear it long" defender than a "build game out of the back" style centreback, so it'll be interesting to see how Massimiliano Allegri uses him in his setup.
