BRUTAL: Mbappé hands list of 14 people he wants gone from PSG
The French striker was granted a spot at the decision-making table at PSG and he's making use of it
It wasn't just Ancelotti that raised an eyebrow when the offer that PSG had made to Kylian Mbappé to keep him at the French club became know. Not only were they making him the best paid footballer in the history of the sport, but also giving him all sorts of concessions, including a seat at the big men table.
Now, it seems Mbappé is making use of that spot in the decision-calling board. According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the French striker would have handed a list of fourteen names that he wants gone from the Parisian club.
Of course, it's not the kitman who leaves a wrinkle in his shirt or the groundsman who cuts the grass a tad too long for his liking that Mbappé wants gone, but some of the most important figures in the club. For starters, Mbappé wants a new manager, with PSG head coach Mauricio Pochettino at the top of said list. This goes without much saying, as it has been clear for a while that PSG also wants to get rid of the Argentine coach, who failed to turn the luck of the Parisian club in the biggest of stages.
However, other names are a bit more surprising. Argentines Leandro Paredes and Mauro Icardi are also in the list; whilst the presence of Icardi, who has failed to make much of an impact at PSG since joining from Inter in 2020 (scored just 5 goals in 30 games last season) can be expected, it's odd for Mbappé to include Paredes, who has been one of PSG's most consitent performers. It seems that Mbappé's dislike for South America extends not only to the national teams.
Regardless, there's really only one big star in that list and its that of Neymar. The fact that Mbappé and the Brazilian don't see eye to eye has been evident for a while, and even though Neymar was PSG's record buy in 2017, the Frenchman can't wait to see the back of him. This may prove trickier for Mbappé to convince the PSG executives of, as the Brazilian still has 3 years in his contract and remains their second-best paid player.
The list hardly ends there, with other names in it being Julian Draxler, Ander Herrera, Idrissa Gueye and Thilo Kehrer. It's looking like Mbappé the decision-maker is even more letal than Mbappé the striker; having finish this season with 39 goals and 26 assists in 46 games, perhaps he has earned that right.
