Arthur Melo arrived at Barcelona as the "new Xavi" when he moved from Brazilian side Gremio. However, Quique Setién never figured him out when he was at the helm of FC Barcelona and the Brazilian was part of a monumental deal: Arthur went to Juventus in exchange of €72 million and Miralem Pjanic joined Barcelona from the Italian team for €60 million. However, the Brazilian once again struggled to adapt and now he'll be joining Liverpool in a surprise move that nobody could see coming.

The Brazilian player has gotten over his physical problems and Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has had good words about him, but the reality is that he is still not playing. "Allegri does not include him in his gameplan and his change of agent inexorably brings him closer to the market. The first thing he thinks of is a transfer for the month of January. Now Arthur has received a call from Liverpool and the Brazilian did not hesitate to accept the English team's offer. The Anfield side needed help at midfield as it was openly admitted by manager Jurgen Klopp, and they are keen on taking him on. The agreement between the English team and Juventus is reported to be complete: the player will move on loan for one year and without a purchase option.
For the Brazilian midfielder it is a resounding change in his career since he will go from being a substitute at Juventus to having the chance to be start in Liverpool midfield. Arthur will now have a bigger role and he is expected to adapt to Liverpool as quickly as possible.

Arthur has already traveled to Liverpool and is only waiting to clear the medical exams and to sign his one-year contract. This transfer could also bring him closer to the 2022 Qatar World Cup since he was not in high priority at Juventus after the signing of Leandro Paredes in the last few hours.
