"He's CRUCIAL for us": Juve wants him but Jurgen Klopp isn't selling
The German manager spoke on the allegedly interest of the Italian giants on one of his stars
Since the signing of Darwin Nuñez, the rumour mill has been pretty standstill at Liverpool. The Reds only missed out on a second Premier League title under Jurgen Klopp on just a single point, so they clearly feel that don't need any other top signings. However, Roberto Firmino was recently linked with a move away from Anfield, and the German manager came out to speak about it.

The Anfield side may not have been doing many top signings, however it has been a different matter when it came to departures. Takumi Minamino and Neco Williams joined Sadio Mane as Liverpool's main sales, with others like Ben Davies and the release of Divock Origi joining them in the clearout at Anfield. In that context, many felt that there was some weight to the rumours linking Firmino to Juventus.
In recent seasons, the Brazilian has played more of a supporting role. The arrivals of Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz played a large influence in the Brazilian's 16 fewer Premier League appearances last season compared to the 2020-21 campaign. Firmino is currently in the last year of his deal with the Reds.
However, Jurgen Klopp was adamant that the former Hoffenheim forward won't be leaving the Reds just yet. "Bobby is crucial for us, the heart and soul of this team", explained the manager during a press conference before the Community Shield duel against Manchester City. "Everything looks really good and I am absolutely fine with Firmino. For me, no doubt about his quality, so yes, he is essential for us", added Klopp.
Firmino is set to remain at Liverpool for now
This resonates with the Brazilian's words when he last spoke on the matter: "My wish is to stay here. I want to be here. I'm happy here. So that's all I can say, I want to stay". It looks like once again Juventus may have to look elsewhere, as Roberto Firmino looks to add to his 327 matches, 98 goals and 74 assists with Liverpool.
