THE FUTURE: The player Liverpool are thinking about to replace their stars
The Merseyside club are allegedly already working on their next big thing
As every top club will tell you, the key to staying on top of the game is having a good plan and carrying it out accordingly. With Mohammed Salah entering the last year of his deal and recent news of Sadio Mané's alleged move to Bayern already on the works, Liverpool would be fools not to be preparing for the end of the Salah/Mané era; but Liverpool are a top club, and they aren't fools.
According to news outlet Football365, the Reds are preparing properly for any potential surprises after the Champions League final, setting their targets on the players who could become the future of the club. One of said players is RB Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku.
The Anfield club would have identified the forward as one of their top targets should the lose one of the star men, and would have allegedly already had meetings with the Bundesliga Player of the Season's agents to start working on a potential deal.
While RB Leipzing have been adamant that neither Nkunku nor Spaniard Dani Olmo are going nowhere, it may prove a hard to resist the influences of the Red half of Merseyside, even if they fail to lift their second Champions League in four seasons. Christopher Nkunku finished last season with 35 goals and 20 assists in 51 games for Leipzig and is reportedly being chased many top European clubs like Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain.
