Icardi fires back with ANGRY response after journalist calls his career over
The Argentine striker hasn't enjoyed the best of times with PSG, but he wasn't about to let anyone step over him
An Italian journalist from La Gazzetta dello Sport has pushed Mauro Icardi too far, and also put Paris Saint Germain in check with his situation. In an article on the front pages of the Italian newspaper they discussed the future of the Argentine forward, but things took a turn for the worst as Icardi himself shot back and now we will have to wait for the club's response.
Through his Instagram account, Mauro Icardi complained: "I'm in Africa, Alessandro (the writer for La Gazetta), next year I'll let you organize my holidays if you want. Or are these speeches just bullsh*t like every year? When I was scoring 30 goals a season there were the same arguments".
Along the same lines, Icardi added: "My career is in the balance? I still have two years on my contract. It doesn't seem as biblical to me as you make it with your written crap. At 29, don't worry, with almost 200 goals scored, everyone knows me pretty well".
To top it all off, Icardi assured that he will not leave Paris Saint Germain: "So I decide to stay and make myself available. Thank you very much, I hug you tightly from Africa, with the gorillas, with the lions and all my friends who have more respect than a journalist like you".
Icardi has a contract with PSG until 2024 but it has been alleged that the club's idea is to sell him for 25 million euros. He has been linked with Newcastle, Juventus and even FC Barcelona, but apparently there have been no offers so far.
