KLOPP SMILES: One of Liverpool's best players will be going nowhere
One of the biggest names in Premier League football will be staying a Red for the time coming
It was the main worry in every Reds fan. The future of Mohammed Salah was unclear as his contract was entering it's last deal and contract negotiations hadn't been as forthcoming as it looked.
With the departure of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino's ever diminishing role, and the additions of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and now Darwin Nuñez, it was looking like Jurgen Klopp was ready to break up the attacking trio that had brought Liverpool back into contention of the Premier League.
But fear not, cause the Pharaoh isn't going anywhere. In a short video published recently, Liverpool FC have announced that Mohammed Salah will be staying with the Reds for the coming time, as he signs a new three year contract that will keep him at Anfield until 2025.
"I feel great and [I am] excited to win trophies with the club. It's a happy day for everyone", Salah told the Liverpool official website about his new contract. "It takes a little bit of time, I think, to renew, but now everything is done so we just need to focus on what's next".
This will keep Mohammed Salah at Liverpool, where he joined from AS Roma in 2017 for 42 million euros. Since then, the Egyptian has played 254 matches for the Reds, scoring 156 goals and giving 63 assists.
