The Argentine forward will keep on calling Italy home as his next club is one of the most storied of the country
Many Argentine players have spoken along the years of the ease of adaptation to life in Italy, no doubt a mark of how similar the countries are culture wise, despite the language barrier. After weeks of back and forth with Inter and many doubts about his future, Paulo Dybala is set to join his next team, and it will be his third club in the Italic Peninsula: AS Roma.
It's been almost 20 days since the Argentine forward officially ended his association with Juventus, and became a free agent. While many clubs played with the idea of having him, his next destination is almost official.
Dybala, currently 28 years old, has arrived in Portugal where the medical tests necessary to clear his contract signing will be done. He's to sign a three year deal until 2025, with a total package of 6 million euros per season.
According to most reports, it has been the influence of José Mourinho that was the key to landing the signing despite the lack of Champions League football for Roma. According to most reports, the Portuguese manager reached out to Dybala and explained him the AS Roma project and where he would fit in it.
Paulo Dybala has called Italy his home for ten years, since joining Palermo in 2012 from youth club Instituto de Córdoba. Since then, he's scored 21 goals for Palermo and 115 for Juventus in a total of 386 matches combined.
