Premier League 2022-23, a BRUTAL battle for the first places is coming
Champions League places will be the most wanted by the big six in a new season
The next Premier League season will be huge as almost every team got new strong and important names on their squads to compete for Champions League and Europa League spots. 2022-23 could be one of the best seasons in years.
The top four and direct Champions League qualification places will be the most difficult ones to achieve since last year's winners Manchester City and second-placed Liverpool seem to keep being the strongest ones.
We all know they have lost important players. Liverpool's Sadio Mané moving to Bayern means the Reds losing an important player, same thing with the Citizens as captain Fernandinho and striker Gabriel Jesus both are leaving the club.
Nevertheless, the two teams managed to find a quick and world-class replacement since ManCity paid 60M Euros for Erling Haaland, while Liverpool 90M for Uruguayan Darwin Nuñez.
This means probably these two teams will fight for the first and second spots. Meanwhile, Chelsea, Spurs, and Arsenal may compete for the two remaining Champions League places as they finished last season with just 5 points difference between the three of them.
It will be a thought fight. Chelsea is keeping the same players except for Romelu Lukaku, who returned to Inter. Tottenham reach an identifying and nice way of playing since Antonio Conte arrived in London which makes them a hard team to beat, while Arsenal signed Portuguese Fabio Vieira and Brazilian wonderkid Marquinhos as Arteta hopes they will bring fresh air to their midfield and let the Gunners finally reach the first four places.
Manchester United, on the other hand, is an unknown. The Red Devils have an awesome team full of stars and expensive players, but they can't manage to translate that to their game and finished last season ten points behind fifth-placed Arsenal. Ten Hag's arrival give United supporters hope to make a new beginning and finally return to the good old days.
