PSG will hate to hear this, but Chelsea are not done in the market just yet. Despite spending over £250 million last summer and even sacking Champions League-winning coach Thomas Tuchel to hire someone who "fits the club vision" that Todd Boehly has for the club in Graham Potter, the Blues could go into January with very a clear objective: Milan Skriniar.

The Inter Milan defender was in everybody's lips all throught the summer as Paris Saint Germain chased his signature with reckless abandon, but still were unable to find common ground with the Italian side. They might regret not forking out the 70 million euros the Nerazzurri were asking for him however, as now Chelsea are set to enter the bidding war.

However, Skriniar's contract with the Milan giants is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, and if fresh terms aren't reached quickly, Inter may have to sell in January to keep him from leaving for free. PSG will certainly be back in the mix, but according to calciomercato.com they now face opposition from Chelsea and Real Madrid too.

It could also end up being Inter who regret not taking the previous offer by PSG, as they will surely negotiate from a weakened position if the Slovenian's contract gets to it's final six months. For now, however, it seems he's enjoying his time at Milan: "I don't want to hear rumours. they only make you lose energy. I have always tried to do my best for these colors and this team. I continue to do so now as always and that is why the tifosi love me well. I have an excellent relationship with them and I want to thank them, it is very beautiful for a player to have a relationship like this with his fans", recently said the defender.

Since joining Inter from Sampdoria in July 2017 for 30 million euros, Milan Skriniar has been a crucial player for the team. The Slovenian was a standout when Antonio Conte's team won Inter the Scudetto in 2020/21, marking the end of an 11-year drought.
