 Paris Saint Germain have been at the center of the storm for a long while now. First the Kylian Mbappe situation, then the debate over who would be the next manager and now the Neymar saga, it's rarely been a day without news on the Parisian team. Now, it looks like one of those fronts will be closing down soon, that of Mauricio Pochettino.

The fact that the Argentine manager will be sacked by the club has been pretty much established fact for weeks now, but the announcement has taken quite some time. That's because Pochettino and his staff had another year on contract, and they went all in to make sure PSG didn't remove them from their positions before proper compensation was received.

Now, according to French sports newspaper L'Equipe, that has been achieved. According to the newspaper, Pochettino and his staff have reached an agreement with PSG to end their contractual relationship. As reported, the PSG higher-ups wanted to pay the Argentine a reduced compensation fee, but he was having none of it, considering already a breach of their word to sacking him.

After some long negotiations, Pochettino has managed to agree on a 10 million euros compensation package for him and his assistants, set to be confirmed later this week.

This opens the door for the announcement of Christophe Galtier as the next manager of the Parisian club, with whom PSG reportedly has every term agreed. In fact, so advanced are the negotiations that the former Lille and Nice manager has already visited the Camp des Loges, PSG's training camp.
