Neymar vs Mbappe: relationship between stars at an ALL TIME WORST
The PSG stars share a cold relationship, but hot headed bursts are threatening the balance
Kylian Mbappe is at odds with Neymar Jr. once again. The Paris Saint Germain stars seem to be on the news every day now, with issues with their national teams, former teammates and the media, but far from giving them common ground, their relationship is apparently at an all-time worst.
The relationship between the two stars seems impossible to fix by now
At least, that's what French newspaper L'Equipe is pointing out, with reports of several hot headed episodes in the last few weeks between the Mbappe and Neymar, who sustain "a cordial but tumultuous relationship with PSG".
The relationship between the two footballers is still tenuous despite their desire to avoid direct clashes, and there are no doubts that one of the biggest issues faced by PSG this season is managing the Neymar-Mbappé relationship, which they refer to as a "cold peace" after five years.
It's all about a clash of egos, and when it was thought that things had calmed down, comments made by both players during the most recent FIFA international break have simply stoked the flames.
"Here I have much more freedom", explained Mbappe after shining with Les Bleus in their duel against Austria for the UEFA Nations League. "I play differently with France. They ask me to do different things here than at PSG. The coach knows that we have Giroud as 9 who fixes the defenses and I can go to space".
That's is clearly something he doesn't have at PSG, where head coach Christophe Galtier has to balance the attack with Lionel Messi and Neymar. Quiestioned on the matter, the Brazilian dodged the topic: "How is Kylian? I don't know".
PSG celebrate for now, but what will happen if things change?
For now, the peace sustains, with PSG flying high in every competition, but who knows what could happen with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar if the Parisian outfit hits strong obstacles like they did last season with Real Madrid.
