SLOW NEGOTIATION: New PSG manager still unclear despite clear candidate
Christophe Galtier is reportedly the favourite for the job but news from France is that the process isn't very fast
Having the right leaders is key for any project to succeed. However, at PSG, they may be without someone at the rudder very soon. While the departure of Mauricio Pochettino is set to be announced at any moment now, who his replacement will be is yet to be clarified.
The Argentine arrived at PSG with the objective of turning the best squad in Europe into the rulers of the continent, but he has landed far off the mark. The Parisian club is reportedly looking now for someone to finally bring them the trophy they most desire but it seems it won't come about easy.
So far, the favourite for the job is OGC Nice's Christophe Galtier. However, according to Foot Mercato's journalist Santi Aouna, there's yet to be any contact between PSG Sporting Director Luis Campos and the club currently employing Galtier.
What has become clear however is that, should the former Lille manager get the biggest job in France, he will have the necessary help. According to Aouna, the word is that Galtier has requested that his former LOSC Lille assitant, Portuguese Joao Sacramento, joins him.
Sacramento worked at Lille from 2017 to 2019, when he left to join José Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur and then AS Roma. However, he left the Italian club at the end of last year. He's one of the most sought after young minds in football and will surely make Christophe Galtier's job easier if he gets the task of managing PSG's dressing room.
