The Argentinian league seems to be a perpetual source of talent when it comes to the youngsters that break out every season, and the latest group of River Plate wonderkids are already gathering attention from the biggest clubs in Europe.
With Julián Álvarez already set to move to Manchester City at the end of the season after spending a further six months at River Plate to continue his development, it's now looking like one of his teammates could be following him soon, although he'd land in a different Champions League side.
According to site BeSoccer, Spanish giants Real Madrid are interested in signing midfielder Enzo Fernández. The 21-year-old has been a key part of Marcelo Gallardo's River Plate team and is looking ripe for a move to Europe to continue improving as a player.
The midfielder is under contract until 2025 and it is said that River Plate would require upwards of 10 million euros to part with their young star. There's no shortage of suitors either, with Portuguese giants Benfica and Manchester United reportedly also chasing Fernández. The River Plate academy product has a release clause of 20 million euros, which guarantees that any potential buyer will have to come to the negotiation table for the player.
Fernández has played 18 matches for River Plate so far, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists.
