PLAN B: Real Madrid chasing Aurélien Tchouameni after Mbappé scandal
Real Madrid continue to work on their transfer window and their next target after the Mbappé fiasco is said to be the Monaco young star.
While the controversy regarding Kylian Mbappé's new deal with Paris Saint Germain and his rejection continues to rage on, behind closed quarters Real Madrid continue to work on their next great signing.
The next objetive in their list is said to be none other than Aurélien Tchouameni. The Monaco midfielder is coming off a great season, where he was been key for the Monegasque side. However, like with most signings for Real Madrid, it won't come cheap.
As reported by Spanish newspaper Marca, Monaco is said to be asking for 80 million euros for the midfielder. Paul Mitchell, sporting director at the club, spoke with French radio RMC Sport and said they will be "very aggressive" when negotiating for the youngster.
This is not only because they know the player to be a top prospect in Europe, but also because it will be hard for them to replace him. "What will happen with Tchouameni? To be honest, I have no preferences. Like every time you sell a player, there needs to be fair compensation. The market is different every year".
While some are reporting everything is said and done, others are saying Real Madrid would be looking for a lower price. However, there must be something extra for them to get the player, as it was said to be one of the targets for Paris Saint Germain.
