The Catalan club won't give up on the Polish striker, despite war of words drying up lately
The hot flares of verbal war between Robert Lewandowski and Hasan Salihamidži may have cooled down lately, with more parties seeming more focused on winning they transfer dispute than their rhetorical one, but that doesn't mean the story is over just yet.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are preparing a new offer for the player. This comes after the socios voted on the sale of 10% of Barça Licensing & Merchandising, a company owned by the club that controls the sale of Barça-branded products via the club.
In this key negotiation, Barcelona has a ace up their sleeve. It's the excellent relationship that exists between the club's president, Joan Laporta, and the Polish striker's agent, Pini Zahavi. For now, the Catalan club and Lewandowski remain steadfast in their verbal agreement on personal terms, so that all that remains is convicing Bayern Munich to give up on their star player.
Robert Lewandowski, who's currently 33 years old, played 46 matches for Bayern, scoring 50 goals and giving 7 assists. The Polish striker seems to remain convinced he wants to join Barcelona, despite interest from other clubs like PSG and Chelsea.
