INCREDIBLE: Cristiano Ronaldo WALKS AWAY during an ongoing game
The Portuguese star shocked everyone when he decided to leave the pitch during United clash with Tottenham
Whatever happens at a Manchester United match, Cristiano Ronaldo is at centre of it. The Red Devils won a key match against Antonio Conte's Tottenham in the fight for a top four spot. Regardless, the biggest talking topic will be the Portuguese star, but not exactly for something he did on the pitch.
Erik ten Hag's men barraged Tottenham throughout the match, with Hugo Lloris becoming the hero quickly in the first half. Conte's side could never get into the match and early in the second half United got ahead via a Fred shot that deflected on Eric Dier, then doubling their advantage via a magnificent Bruno Fernandes hit, but his fellow Portuguese didn't seem to enjoy the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo was seen leaving the game with four minutes of added time still to be played and with Erik ten Hag still having substitutions to make. While no official explanation has yet come up, it doesn't look good for the former Real Madrid and Juventus player, who has been at odds with Ten Hag and the rest of the Red Devils' hierarchy due to his desire to leave the club to play in the UEFA Champions League.
It's an image that speaks a thousand words, and another big chapter in the clash between Cristiano Ronaldo and Erik ten Hag, who once again showed that he does not need the Portugal star to win important games. Asked on the matter, the Dutchman just said "I will deal with that tomorrow, not today. We are now celebrating this victory". With this win, Manchester United closes their gap to the top four, and is just four points away from third place Tottenham, with a game in hand.
