A new era for Manchester United: Ronaldo spoke about Ten Hag's appointment
Team legend and top goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo looks forward to the start of the Erik ten Hag era at Old Trafford.
Manchester United has been in turmoil for a long time now. The largely unfulfilled promise of the Ole Gunnar Solskjær era was succeeded by yet more missed opportunities, this time with German manager Ralf Ragnick at the helm.
However, team legend and top goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo prefers not to dwell on what could've been and take on the challenge head on as United looks forward to the start of the Erik ten Hag era. The Dutch manager has been courted for a long time by the Old Trafford club, and now his arrival for next season has been confirmed.
"We are all happy and excited, not only as players but as fans as well. We have to believe that next year we can win titles", said the Portuguese legend, as per journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Ten Hag arrives at Manchester United on a high note after winning his third league title on a row with Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam, and that's not lost on the five-time Ballon d'Or winner: "I know that he has done a fantastic job at Ajax, he is an experienced coach, but we have to give him time"
Only time will tell if Ten Hag is the solution to United's problems, or whether his tenure will be yet another false dawn for the club.
