Goal DROUGHT: It's been over 300 minutes since Mane last scored for Bayern
The Senegalese forward hasn't been on his best form since switching Liverpool for Munich
Things haven't been working out at Bayern Munich for Sadio Mane. The Senegalese striker is currently on a 327 minute goal drought, having last scored for the Bavarian giants in the German Cup debut against 3rd tier side Viktoria Koln. However, it's no worry for his manager Julian Nagelsmann, who thinks the former Liverpool man will soon return to his best form.
"He's very self-reflective and knows when he has played well and when he hasn't" explained Nagelsmann in a recent press conference. "He's very humble and down to earth. He will produce his best again".
Mane failed to register a single shot in Bayern's Champions League clash against Barcelona and the Senegalese was fortunate that his teammates were more productive to take advantage of someone else who had a torrid time in front of goal, Robert Lewandowski. "He put in so much for Liverpool", commented Nagelsmann after that match. "He's a new signing. He just needs to adapt. He was trying. I'm certain he will succeed for us".
"He has my full backing and will score and assist plenty more goals for us", added the German coach later on about the Senegalese's struggles to score, showing he still has faith in his 38 million euro signing. Mané's last Bundesliga goals for Bayern Munich came on August 21, during matchday three, in a 7-0 triumph over Bochum. The 30-year-old also scored against RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt before. Sadio Mane has four goals in nine games for Bayern Munich transfer from Liverpool.
