Better than ever: Alexis Sanchez back to his best in France
After a few seasons struggling to get to his best at Inter, the Chilean is back to full powers
Alexis Sánchez is shining again as he did throughout most of his career. Tired of coming off the bench at Inter Milan, he understood that he needed a move to take a step forward and his arrival at Olympique de Marseille is a great success to take the last steps of his excellent career.

In reality, the last four seasons in Europe the Chilean has had little continuity: just 5528 minutes since the 2017-18 season, or around 60 games from 152 league games he could've played. In fact, his current status with intermittent game time was a fundamental factor for the Inter leadership to decide to offer him a contract for just one season.
With the return of Romelu Lukaku to fire up again his pairing with Lautaro Martínez, the Chilean packed his bags to play in France. In his first months, he has already shown that he was not wrong: he has played 726 minutes in just eleven games, and he's also scoring: six goals, two in the Champions League and four in Ligue 1. Throughout his stay in Milan, he barely scored twenty.
Igor Tudor's scheme for Chile's Boy Wonder also looms as a challenge: he's the focus of the attack as a centreforward, something has done before, but never as his main position. In Argentina, playing for River Plate he was Abreu's partner as he did in Udinese together with Di Natale. In the Croatian coach's scheme, Alexis Sánchez is nine with two links behind, although they rotate between the three.

Without the World Cup ahead, his international challenge will focus on the Champions League, where he has already left his mark: with his double against Sporting Lisbon, he is the top Chilean scorer along with Arturo Vidal in the history of the competition with 15 goals. With his good performances, he changed the murmurs that he generated on his arrival in France for clear applause. Olympique de Marseille will now seek to break with the PSG dominion over Ligue 1 and with the Alexis Sanchez' and Dimitri Payet's experience end their spell of ten years without titles. It started well, as they sit in third with 23 points, just 3 off leaders PSG.
