Chelsea chasing one of Europe's MOST WANTED players
After the collapse of the Raphinha deal, Bayern are eyeing one of the bargains of the summer
No time to waste during the transfer window. When you miss a target, move to the next, and that's exactly what Chelsea are doing. With Blues target Raphinha reportedly about to reject the London club to fulfil his dream and move to Barcelona, the Stamford Bridge side are eyeing another target, and that's Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry.
The former Arsenal and Werder Bremen player is looking for a way out of Bayern after contract renewal talks collapsed over a difference in wage demands. While higher ups at the German club are insisting they intend to keep Gnabry, the player has atracted plenty of interest as he's only got one year remaining on his contract.
Now, according to several sources, Chelsea have started to explore to possibility of going after him, joining a long list of suitors that include the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
As reported, it would only take 40 million euros to pry Gnabry from Bayern Munich, although the wage considerations are bound to be high, since that's the reason the Bavarians could let him go.
Serge Gnabry joined Bayern Munich in 2017, following just one year in Werder Bremen, after departing Arsenal for lack of first team minutes. Since then, he has scored 64 goals and provided 40 assists in 171 matches played with the Bundesliga champions.
