"We can make everyone happy": Salihamidzic on Gnaby and sends a message

We're pretty sure nobody envies the position Bayern Munich's Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic is finding himself in. The chaos of the Robert Lewandowski situation, the closing down of the Sadio Mané signing and now rumours sparking of a potential bid for Cristiano Ronaldo, the former Bosnian international has a lot on his plate at the moment. However, he might just be adding one more issue to follow up: Serge Gnabry's situation.

The 26 year old forward joined Bayern from Werder Bremen in 2017 and quickly showed he can play with the best, reaching 64 goals and 40 assists in 171 matches for the Bavarians since then.

However, his contract is set to expire at the end of next season, and the former Arsenal wonderkid has already made it clear to Bayern Munich executives that he has no intention of renewing it, looking instead to move to another club were he's a bigger star.

In the midst of all this, Salihamidzic spoke with media outlet SkyDe about Gnabry's situation: "We really want to keep him. I hope that he chooses Bayern", said the Sporting Director. He also may have taken the opportunity to send a message to Lewandowski as well:   "If a player doesn't want to decide for the club, then we can find a solution that makes everyone happy".

So far, the only club that has shown any interest is Real Madrid, who see Serge Gnabry as an option should Marco Asensio leave Los Blancos. That, however, would be far from the role Gnabry is seeking. He has also been linked with a return to former club Arsenal.
