They're bottom of the table and they want TUCHEL to fix their problems
The German manager had a hard time leaving Chelsea, but he could be managing this side very soon
Thomas Tuchel spoke about how hard it had been for him to get the sack from Chelsea, but he may not be out of a job for long. Despite his acrimonious departure from West London, the former PSG and Borussia Dortmund manager is still considered to be one of the best in the job, and he may get the opportunity to prove it once again very soon, as he's linked with a return to the Bundesliga.
After a surprising bad start to the season, considering all the support he had received in the transfer window, Tuchel was removed from his position only seven games into the current season. Many pointed towards the Blues' shock loss to Dynamo Zagreb in the Champions League, although since then club owner Todd Boehly claimed that the new Stamford Bridge leadership had been pondering a move for some time.
Now, several sources are claiming that Tuchel could be back in football rather soon, as he's linked with a move that would take him back to his homeland's top tier, Germany's Bundesliga. The offer is allegedly coming from Bayer Leverkusen, where boss Gerardo Seoane is under significant pressure. The historic side is second to last in the league, after having picked up just five points from their first eight commitments.
Regardless, Tuchel was adamant that he remains uninterested in the Leverkusen position. It is unknowkn whether his decision was motivated by a desire to take some time away from football following his difficult sacking or by Leverkusen's precarious league position.
Thomas Tuchel made a post on his social media after his sacking was announced, where he opened up on how difficult it was to accept his departure from Chelsea. "This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write - and it is one which I hoped I would not need to do for many years. I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end", he wrote. "This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. Thank you so much to all the staff, the players and the supporters for making me feel very welcome from the start".
