"If he does that there will be trouble": Vinicius warned ahead of Madrid derby
The Brazilian star has been on the sights of everyone due to his style and he received a warning from one of his upcoming rivals
Vinicius Junior has been warned. The day after Neymar took to social media to complain that he got a yellow card for celebrating a goal with a gesture the referee deemed offensive, his teammate in the Brazilian National Team is getting warned maybe he shouldn't be too creative with his celebrations if he scores in the Madrid derby.
This weeks sees another edition of the Clasico Madrileño, the derby that splits the Spanish capital as Real Madrid and their historic city rivals Atlético de Madrid face off. The duels are usually heated affairs, but with los Blancos flying high in the league and hosts Atlético playing catch up, it will be even more so.
After last weekend's controversies between Real Madrid-Real Mallorca, Koke Resurreccion, one of the most important players for los Colchoneros, warned Vinicius that he may want to keep his celebratory flair for another occasion.
"If in the end he scores a goal and decides to dance, that's what he wanted to do", explained the Atletico Madrid player, "Everyone doesn't have their way of being and celebrates the goals as they want". However, he left a final warning: "[If he celebrates dancing] there will be trouble for sure".
Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have faced each other 291 times in official matches, with 150 wins for los Blancos, 72 for los Colchoneros and 69 draws. The first ever official clash between the two was on December 2, 1906, with a win for Real Madrid 2-1.
