UNBELIEVABLE: Vinicius' new contract has a CRAZY release clause
The Brazilian is set to sign a new deal to keep him at Real Madrid, and the figures are unbelievable
When he was announced by Real Madrid, many questioned whether paying 45 million euros for a 18 year old with no experience in the European game was sensible business by the Merengues. Some of his first performances seemed to validate doubters, but since then Vinícius Júnior has become one of the best players in the world.
Last season he became one of the most important players for Real Madrid, forming a deadly partnership with Karim Benzema and his numbers have jumped, as this becomes his best since 18/19. As such, it's only fitting that he receives appropiate compensation for his services, and Los Blancos know how to do it.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Vinicius is set to sign a new contract that will make him one of the best paid players in the Merengue squad. For context, it was reported that Real Madrid's best paid player last season was Gareth Bale, who was on over 650,000 euros, with Eden Hazard a close second on 600,000.
Despite the announcement coming allegedly in July, Vinicius himself seems to have confirmed the news himself, liking a post on Instagram that reported on the matter. The contract would run until 2026.
With that, the Brazilian who finished with 20 goals and 22 assists on 52 games last season, seems set to continue his career at Real Madrid, and with a release clause of 1 billion euros it will be very difficult to pry him away from the Santiago Bernabeu against the club's will.
