West Ham close to sealing one of the PSG's MOST WANTED young stars
The Hammers are working on a deal to take one of the targets from the Parisian side
Gianluca Scamacca has quietly starred in his very own transfer saga this summer, with the Sassuolo man reportedly chased by Paris Saint Germain, Arsenal, Inter and AC Milan at one point or another. However, it could very much be that the winner of the jackpot is an entirely different team.
That's because according to UK newspaper The Sun, the 23 year old forward is the centre of talks between Sassuolo and Premier League side West Ham. Negotiations are reported to be very advanced and a second offer from the Hammers could come soon.
West Ham was mostly linked with a move for Chelsea's Armando Broja, but the higher ups at the London Stadium are reportedly unconvinced as Chelsea insists on a loan deal, while the Hammers persue a permanent move. Having recently returned home from the Blues' pre season tour of the United States with an injury, the 20 year old Broja is not for sale according to Thomas Tuchel.
This would have caused West Ham to shift focus and go after Scamacca. The Italian has the admiration of Hammers' manager David Moyes as he fits the bill his type of striker perfectly; Scamacca is strong, has quick feet, and can hold the ball off to feed others around him.
Sassuolo are currently asking for 50 million euros for Gianluca Scamacca, who scored 16 goals in 36 games in Serie A last season. West Ham are so far only offering 40 millions, but if reports are to be believed the talks could progress faster than usual.
