"This is not a place for you": Duvan Zapata lived an uncomfortable moment
The Colombian striker who plays for Atalanta was asked to leave a bank due to how he looked
Duván Zapata has experienced an uncomfortable and surprising moment, as reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport. The striker had made an appointment at the bank to go over some things. However, just as he was going to enter the building, he was rudely asked to go away because of how he looked.
The Colombian visited the bulding, located at the Piazza Matteotti in Bergamo (the city home to Atalanta), wearing sports clothing, but when he intended to walk in, he was stopped by the the security agents. "Where do you think you are going? This is not a place for you, go somewhere else" he told the player, as reported by Corriere di Bergamo. A reaction that surprised Zapata, who was there to meet with a financial advisor.
Fortunately for Zapata, a bank official informed them that he was a client. "Duván is one of our clients, but security could not know it. The employees were simply doing their job, guaranteeing us a security service in an intermediate space between the entrance and the street," explained the private company.
The bank apologized for the incident, and Duvan Zapata made no further comments as the issue resolved quickly. However, it was no doubt an unreal moment that must've cast some thoughts on a few.
